The famous Perseids meteor shower will be visible tonight, Tuesday, 2008 Aug 12. The meteor shower will be very visible from 10 PM Tuesday until dawn Wednesday.
Expect to see 50 to 100 meteors per hour from the east-northeastern horizon. It should be visible to the naked eye if under clear skies, that is.
According to astronomers, the Perseids meteor showers are best seen during August 10-14 every year.
The Perseids meteor shower can be seen somewhere near the Perseus constellation which is located in the eastern horizon during August.
