The Department of Energy has released a circular in June that sets biofuel standards, requiring oil companies to use and sell coco methyl ester conforming to government regulations. This circular intends to "ensure the integrity of the products for retail" by requiring oil companies to "adhere to good housekeeping protocol particularly with regard to handling, storage, and dispensing of biofuel blends.

The downward trend in world oil costs has allowed four independent oil players to roll back prices of their petroleum products again. The last price rollback was last August 23,2008.
Flying V and Eastern Petroleum implemented a P1.00 per liter rollback effective 2008-Sept-03 while
UniOil and SeaOil implemented their P1.00 per liter rollback at 6 AM.
However, Petron, Shell, and Chevron has not rolled back their prices.

President Gloria Arroyo during the joint Cabinet-Export Development Council meeting held in Palayan, Nueva Ecija last Tuesday, has stressed the need to implement strategies designed to enhance the competitiveness of the country’s exports and services sectors.
Export earnings grew 6.1% to $50.276 billion last year from $47.41 billion in 2006.
Exports grew by just a modest 4.1% in the first half to $25.598 billion from $24.6 billion in the same period last year. The government expects an 8%-9% growth this year.

Google has just released its newest baby called Chrome, an Internet browser. Chrome has a privacy mode where users can create an "incognito" window where nothing that occurs in that window is ever logged on your computer. In Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, it is called "InPrivate". You might want to use this feature in Chrome to keep a surprise gift a secret…or if you want to go into a "porn mode" where nothing that occurs in that window is ever logged in your computer.

Although Google’s new browser called Chrome is still in beta phase, a vulnerability has already been discovered just hours after its release. Researcher Aviv Raff discovered that he could combine two vulnerabilities to trick users into launching executable files directly from the browser window. The two vulnerabilities are Apple Safari’s (Webkit) flaw and a Java bug.
