Fedex Spam

24 August 2008 3 Comments Add to Technorati Favorites

Before it was UPS, now it is Fedex that is being used to spam users. The email messages try to appear authentic by showing a bogus tracking number and similar to the UPS scam, trick users into believing that they are a recipient of a package informing them that there was a problem with the delivery of a package. The email spam urges users to print the attached “invoice” to claim the package.

The attachment when launched could steal information including those related to online banking credentials.

This spyware is also called TSPY_ZBOT.MCS.

    Hello,

Found the problem this morning at my work. Therefore I cannot work anymore on my desk because of this spyware. Does someone have any antidote or secret in order to give memory back to my computer?

    Thanks,

    Claire

Do you have an Internet connection at work? You can go to an online virus/spyware scanner at http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products/personal/housecall/mkt/trialpay.html (Trend Micro Housecall).
    or install an antivirus program.

    Avast! Antivirus is FREE!
