The much-awaited reunion concert of the Eraserheads will finally push through after much fuss over its sponsors. Unfortunately, there are some major changes.

Another company has taken over the production of the concert after Philip Morris, a tobacco company has decided to pull out from the event.

The concert will no longer be held in the CCP open grounds. Instead, the event will now be held at The Fort in Taguig City.

The registration procedures in the Red Nation website is now void because of the pullout of Philip Morris from the concert’s production. Because of this, fans will now have to pay for tickets to attend the concert. And since the tickets will now be for sale, the concert will only be open to those aged 12 years old and above.

Philip Morris has decided to pull out from the concert because they will be violating Republic Act 9211, the Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 which prohibits cigar companies from sponsoring sports, cultural, and artistic events of individual or team athletes, artists, and performers according to Health Undersecretary Alexander Padilla.

Eraserheads is considered one of the most influential bands in the country and has become a role model to other aspiring young bands. Eraserheads disbanded in 2002.
